Usually, vacations mean a two-week hiatus from physical activity, fitness and even being healthy. However, this doesn’t always have to be the case, there are so many different ways to sneak in a workout or two without disrupting the forgoing the luxury of being on vacation. Contrary to popular belief, holidays can actually be the perfect time to exercise and help your body stay in shape. Here are some fun ways you can exercise while on vacation.

Do Your Homework

Before you head off on to your summer vacation, do some research about the workout facilities in and around your hotel. Many hotels s offer fitness classes and gyms which inevitably will make things so much easier while on vacation. It’s also best to plan most of your activities ahead of time so you have a better idea of how you can spend your time.

Consider Doing Cardio

If you’re mainly looking to do cardio while on vacation, there are so many different ways you can exercise while having fun at the same time. From taking long walks on the beach to snorkeling or swimming, there are so many great workouts that can help you maintain your cardio endurance. You can also ask the hotel staff about nearby walking or running routes. Experiencing the outdoors while on vacation is one of the best ways to see a city like a local. If you feel like being completely adventurous, why not try things like golf, beach volleyball, or even tennis.

Use Your Hotel Room

If your hotel is not equipped with a gym or workout studio, have no fear. You can simply use your hotel room and do some easy workouts. Sweat it out in the comfort of your own space and at the convenience of your own time. Try things like chair squats, push-ups, crunches, or even a HIIT workout. Not only will you feel totally exhilarated and energetic but you can then enjoy the rest of the day feeling completely relaxed.

Walk Everywhere

This is one of the best ways to keep active while on vacation, just walk everywhere! Skip the bus, train, or taxi and go on foot! To travel is to explore. You can’t do much of that if you’re trapped in a moving vehicle. Get into the city and discover all that it has to offer.

Do Yoga

Yoga comes highly recommended, especially while on vacation. When it comes to traveling, yoga is a great way to start the day feeling invigorated. Some experts even suggest doing yoga after a long and busy day. Some of the amazing benefits that come with doing yoga include, helping with back pain, improve balance and flexibility ad well as manages stress.

Take the Stairs

For a simple yet ‘firey’ workout, all you need to do is take the stairs! Climbing stairs is great for the heart and building strength, you can either do this inside or outside. Definitely one of the easier ways to exercise.
